Warranty Policies for Roof Waterproofing Services – Leaklockuae

Leak Lock Insulation Contracting LLC warrants its services for a period of up to 10 years, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations detailed below.

Warranty Activation

The warranty becomes effective only after full payment for all materials and services related to the project.

Warranty Nullification

  • Any subsequent work on or through the waterproofing system.
  • Changes in the building’s usage that causes damage to the waterproofing system.

Access to Roof

Leak Lock and its representatives must be granted access to the roof of the specified during regular business hours throughout the warranty period. We use the information collected for the following purposes:

Defects and Repairs

If, upon inspection, the Company identifies leaks due to defects in our waterproofing system, it will repair the leaks or provide sufficient material for replacement. Leak Lock retains sole discretion to determine whether to repair or replace the defective EPDM Membrane. Leak Lock’s liability under the warranty will not exceed the retail value of the products used in the original installation.

Notification of Leaks

The client must immediately notify Leak Lock by phone/email upon discovering any leak within five days. Failure to provide timely notice will constitute a breach of this warranty.

Uncovered Repairs

If repairs are needed that are not covered under the warranty, Leak Lock will inform the client. If the client promptly completes the required repairs (within 30 days), the warranty will remain valid for its unexpired term. If repairs are not made within the stipulated time, the warranty will automatically terminate.

Exclusions and Limitations

The warranty does not cover leaks or damage caused by the following:
  • Acts of God, including but not limited to lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes.
  • Vandalism, civil disobedience, or war.
  • Structural defects, settling, warping, or corrosion of the building or its substrate.
  • Chemical contaminants not approved by Leak Lock Insulation Contracting.
  • Improper roof maintenance, traffic, or storage on the roof.
  • Negligence, misuse, or faulty workmanship by the client or third parties.
  • Third Party or Client’s maintenance/repairing or application of inappropriate materials without permission of Leak Lock.
  • Building design flaws or inability to withstand imposed loads.
  • Distortion, expansion, or contraction of non-Membrane work or flashing.

Warranty Term

The warranty is valid for up to maximum of 10 years from the completion date. To know about your warranty period please refer to our warranty letter issued after work completion.

Non-Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the Leak Lock customer only.

Exclusive Remedy

The repair of leaks as provided in the warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for the client. Leak Lock shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including damage to underlying components, the building, contents, lost profits, or punitive damages, under any circumstances.

DISCLAIMERS

The warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
